White Gold Wedding
Unique white gold Wedding Ring?
I am having trouble finding white women only gold Wedding Band. I would like something has an old style or something with an engraved design (maybe flowers, vines, or along those lines, but not Celtic.) Probably nothing with any diamonds or stones precious. It must be perfectly round, not one that fit around the Engagement Ring, because I'll just be using the band to work once they get married. I hope for less than $ 500, but I'm willing to go a little higher because it is a once in a lifetime thing! Any ideas? Thanks!

White Gold
Gold is a yellow metallic element. Pure Gold is too soft to be used for the manufacture of jewelry. To increase its resistance is mixed with other metals to form alloys. The metals used to alter the color of gold producing various shades of yellow, white and pink.
There are actually no such thing as white gold. When they speak of white gold jewelers refer to gold alloys that are white. White Gold was originally manufactured to imitate platinum.
White gold is essentially an alloy of gold with at least one white metal. Alloy simply refers to a mixture of two or more metals. A mixture of white and yellow metal does not produce, as it seems, a pale yellow metal. Alloy alter the atomic structure of metal which in turn alters the reflectivity light of different wavelengths, obtaining the desired color to the metal. The metals used to carry white gold are nickel, zinc and palladium.
White gold is usually composed of gold and nickel, because nickel cheapness. It is available in white gold. But the biggest disadvantage is that it can cause skin allergies for some. Palladium metal is considered ideal for the production of white gold. But, like nickel, is not without its drawbacks as it is expensive and difficult, as it makes that the manufacture of palladium has a high melting point.
Other brighteners include silver, platinum, chromium, cobalt, tin, zinc and indium.
As the Yellow Gold, white gold is also measured in carats. Because of its resemblance to the platinum and the relative economic receives acceptance White Gold worldwide in various forms of jewelry.
