Ok can some one explain to me how to patriots set this up in metal gear solid 4?
ok drebin talk about how the whole this was a setup after u beat the game
i dont understand, the patriots set themselves up?

The Patriots had set the stage so that Rat Patrol Team 01, Solid Snake, and others would take out “Liquid” and the Proxy AI, GW, so that Liquid would not destroy the mother AI, known as JD, and in turn defeat the AI that constituted the Patriots and conquer the world with GW. But the Patriots shot itself in the foot, because it did not count on Sunny and Naomi to create a worm cluster (Fox Alive) that not only got rid of GW, but took out the part of the JD AI that made the Patriots the dominating force of the world. The Partriots wanted GW along with Liquid dead, since GW was a threat to the entire system in the wrong hands. The moral of the story: what goes around, comes around.
The Patriot AI system wanted to use deception to maintan their power, and they screwed themselves. This is unlike MGS2, in which the Patriots got rid of GW (or so they thought) when it fell in the hands of Solidus, without diminishing the grip they had on humanity. In the case of MGS4, the System was outsmarted by Naomi and Sunny. The Patriots once again plotted to set everyone up, but they ended up accidentally aiding their own destruction.
