Ring Yellow
There’s a yellow ring inside my toilet and it won’t go away?
I’ve scrubbed and scrubbed but this ring never goes away. I’ve used comet with bleach and let it soak for hours but its still the same. Anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of it?
this is a mineral ring,caused by hardwater and mineral buildup.
this happens where i live also.
if its very thick, you need to bale out the toilet bowl till empty,use rags or paper towels to dry up the last bit.
my problem is usualy at the bottom,so i pour in either CLR which you can buy in K-mart and sometimes at wal-mart.or Lime Away,that you can buy anywhere.(they make a thick Lime Away that works well for the sides of the bowl and up under the rim)
anyway let it sit for awhile and then scrub,it should break up and scrub away.if its really thick ,buy a piece ofplumbers screen at the hardware store.it wont scratch the inside of your bowl like steel wool or pumice.
it doesnt hurt to pour the lime away about once a week in the water and scrub just to prevent the build up.
