Wedding Dresses too short. Help! I was asked to hem a Wedding Dress from a friend of a friend?
and also take the sides. I measured and covered everything. It fits well except when I marked the hem risen due to take in. I know now, the bride would have to try the dress after it took in, but before you cut and hem it. The princess style dress is a line of heavy bridal satin. It is normal except for a band of pleated cranberry color through blouse. No Beading or any other decoration. I feel bad about the bride and not too happy either. Any good suggestion? I need an answer as soon as possible. She will return tomorrow night to pick up the dress. The marriage is in 4 days.
You can find something complimentary to add on instead. For example, some satin, or lace or simply to congratulate all the boo boo. that no one would notice that I could think was done well. That's one way to conceal the truth. Add something to do right from its so clear that you can dress up a little. It is not the end of the world and she is to marry the person you love who cares about the dress b happy.
