Can my Wedding Dress be taken in two full sizes?
My wedding dress is a size 18 from Casablanca’s 2008 Spring collection (style #1899). It is v-neck and has a complete lace overlay. Now I need it to be a size 14. Can I make that work?
WOW, conngratulations on the weight loss. and the impending nupitals. I believe anything can be taken in, although if it is highly detailed it might take more time.

To Fold or not to Fold? Single Panel or Double Panel Wedding Invitations
Throughout the course of planning a wedding, there are many decisions that have to be made. Some, such as where to hold the ceremony, must be made well in advance of the special day. Others decisions may seem less significant than choosing the location of the wedding, but are still very important. These small details can seem the most overwhelming, because it is likely that even though you have daydreamed about your wedding for some time, you never gave a thought to these specific details. One such decision is what style of wedding invitations to choose, and whether your invitations should be single or double paneled.
Single paneled invitations have all of the information on the front of the invitation. They do not open.
They sometimes have an overlay of vellum or another transparent or opaque type of paper. This adds
a romantic feel to the invitation.
Double paneled invitations open like a traditional card. The front of the invitation typically bears a design or part of the wording and you open the invitation to reveal the remainder of the invitation. Double paneled wedding invitations more closely resemble a traditional card.
Which type of card is right for you?
The choice between single paneled and double paneled wedding invitations is a matter of personal preference. Either a single panel or double paneled invitation is considered entirely proper whether you are having a contemporary or Traditional Wedding ceremony. The decision over what type of card you choose is typically based on what you want your card to look like. If you want to include ribbons or other adornments on your invitations, then a single paneled card will probably be your choice. Often the thickness of the double paneled envelope, in addition to the trimmings, as well as the response card and any other enclosures will make the envelope exceptionally bulky.
If you want a very simple card with no additions, then a double paneled card can be a good choice. The simple folded card, with any additional enclosures, creates an elegant look. The double paneled card is also easy to display, as it will stand up by itself, while the single paneled card must be clipped or propped to stand.
There is a third choice as well. The tri-fold card is made from a single sheet of card stock that is folded twice, creating a three paneled card. These cards are becoming more popular, although they have not reached the level of popularity as the single paneled or double paneled card.
During the course of planning your wedding, you will be faced with a multitude of choices. While it may seem that everyone is of major importance, placing that much emphasis on each decision can be very stressful. Instead, consider what your priorities are, and you will find that many of your decisions are made for you.
For example, if you are sure that you want a vellum overlay, accented with a ribbon, then you may find that the most logical decision is a single paneled card. There is no reason to waste time and energy looking at every double paneled card available to see how the invitation looks with these options. Know your priorities, and make your decisions based on these priorities.
How do you set your priorities when choosing your wedding invitations? Remember that these invitations will be a life long reminder of your wedding. You will keep an invitation, probably share it with your children, and you want it to be something that expresses your feelings about the wedding and the ceremony.
The invitations are also your first formal declaration as a couple, and present a sort of coming out party to your friends and relatives. If you are a fun loving couple, a casual invitation expresses this, if you are both hopeless romantics, ribbon and vellum can express that sentiment very well. While the variety of invitations may seem endless, only a very few will attract both you and your fiancé, and even fewer will be agreed upon by both. If the odds seem discouraging, don’t worry, while it may take a while to settle on an invitation, there are more than enough selections to ensure that you and Your Future spouse will find the perfect invitation.
A step by step approach to choosing your invitation is the best way to reduce stress. While the process of choosing a wedding invitation may seem overwhelming at first, once you narrow down your selections, taking away choices that clearly do not reflect you and your fiancé, the task becomes much simpler. You will probably discover that once you narrow down your choices, one or two invitations will be left that actually speak to you and your future spouse. When you find the invitation that you want to tuck away in a drawer to show your future children as well as mail to everyone you care about to declare your love, you have found the perfect invitation.
