I think that is what most brides do. Would better if possible, the costumes for them, or at least ensure that they are not too expensive, especially if it's something for themselves rather not wear.

Matching Wedding And Engagement Rings
The choice of engagement ring is incredibly important, and the choice of wedding ring is absolutely crucial… how do you pair the two? How do you choose one in relation to the other? I have put together several combinations of Wedding Rings and engagement rings to help you combine different styles and shapes to get that perfect combination…
You know that I love every colour of gold, (yellow, white, pink… any gold!) so I will make some suggestions for every taste. The only thing I don’t like is bad taste! And sometimes when in pursuit of perfection, you can spend tens of years never quite getting there…it is difficult to compromise! I hope that the following few pieces of advice might help you get there a little quicker.
If you want a classic engagement ring of the solitaire type without side-stones, I suggest a simple Diamond Wedding Ring, to compliment the simpler style of the engagement ring, or a slightly more original one to be more unique/chic:
If you prefer a more original engagement ring, opt for a fully Gold Wedding ring in the same gold, or maybe with some small-sized diamonds. It is best to keep with the same gold to type to be consistent and to avoid colour clashes.
When wearing your wedding ring and engagement ring on the same finger (not all do…), try to match the rings and the golds. The combination will give the impression of a single ring, rich, colourful and original.
