So here are the tips on how you would be able to know the value of the diamond and the qualities to look for in a diamond ring when shopping.
There are four Cs to remember when shopping for diamond ring jewelry. These Cs are clarity, cut, color, and carat and each of this quality is an important aspect to make the diamond valuable. If a diamond has all these specific qualities in perfect character then rest assured that the diamond is of high quality. The clarity signifies how high the value of the diamond is and if there are still traces of non-crystallized carbon inside the stone then it is not a hundred percent Carat Diamond. In the jewelry term inclusions means the degree of clarity on the inside of the diamond so if there is a high degree of inclusions then there are still traces of non-crystallized carbon inside it. This carbon is the element where the diamond came from. If you have a magnifying glass you would be able to see the clarity and the degree of the inclusions of this jewelry but there are some affordable diamonds although have inclusions still emit light beautifully and have high class values. So bear in mind that when looking at the diamond the more inclusions the less valuable it gets to be. Rare diamonds almost do not have any trace of the carbon inside and the clarity is perfect.
The color is another thing to watch out for. The diamonds we know are usually colorless but do you know that there are diamonds with tones of yellow or even brown? This is where color grading for diamonds comes in handy. Color grades start from the letter D and then goes all the way to the end of the alphabet so true and colorless diamonds are graded D. They are considered the rarest of all diamonds but there are also colored diamonds that are most valued because of their rarity. Cut is also a significant character of the diamond jewelry because the sparkle and brilliance will depend on its cut. A perfect and creative cut will allow light to enter and reflect through the diamond and give it a perfect glow. There are different cuts so far and these are the oval, pear, marquise, princess, and Brilliant Cut. To check if the diamond is perfectly cut, hold it near the light and see if light properly reflects between the edges and disperses through the top of the gem. The carat is the weight or the density of the diamond, and each carat is divided into 100 points. A .25 carat diamond has 25 points over the perfect 100.
