Places to buy a Wedding Dress beautiful?!?
I'm getting married next summer, and finally set a date (lol)! I have looked at David's girlfriend and did not really see everything that attracted me. Does anyone have any websites you can visit to find wedding dresses? The cost is not a problem, so who sent me anything!
if not too concerned about price, I would travel to New York and Kleinfelds visit. They really have the best selection. I I'm from New York and have qualified as one of the best places in the country long before that silly show came out. If you can not find a dress there, then just find a salon Vera and choose one of them (their tissues are very nice). Kleinfelds, however, has some fabulous designer (Amsale, Pool, Hjelm, Lhuillier, Acra, etc.) Good luck.

All About Wedding Dress Preservation
A wedding dress is something which is used one day and remains on a hanger the rest of its life. Girls keep pre-purchased wedding dresses years before the wedding and decades after. Oftentimes, bridal dresses stay in closets and, sometimes, hang on the closet door. In such conditions, these dresses slowly yellow and rot. Wedding dress preservation saves a lot of space and allows owners to stop worrying about the dress’ condition.
Wedding Dress Preservation — The Process
The industry combines the very best knowledge and methods from conservation science and experience with museum collections. Archive storage techniques can now take care of the bride’s needs in the same way as textile conservations in museums. The preservation process includes dry cleaning of the dress, chemical treatment (to prevent yellowing), stain inspection and cleaning, pressing, folding and carefully packing it into a special sealed container.
Air from the container is removed and replaced by an inert gas mixture. Companies return the dress to the client in sealed boxes. The bridal gown is now ready for long term storage and safekeeping.
Wedding gown preservation has its own special features and techniques. Different gowns may have different cleaning processes, depending on the fabric. The dress folding procedure is performed using special gloves, which protect the dress from possible particles including oil and salt from the skin of the preservation technician. Preservation containers and folding tissues for the wedding dress differs from regular storage boxes, which are made from paper. Ordinary paper boxes and folding tissues may contain acid from tree pump that remains from the paper manufacturing process. Bridal gown preservation containers are usually made from plastic. Non-fabric components of the dress may also bring on problems during the preservation process. Metal details, such as zippers, may cause rust stains; and plastic may melt or discolor, making marks.
Wedding Gown Preservation — The Costs
All preservation work usually is performed by professional companies. Sometimes, companies offer only airtight containers, leaving the clients to do all the preservation cleaning work including the folding (and sometimes the air removal). High level industry professionals perform full reconstruction of any condition dress and its any elements. They will return it to its best condition prior to the preservation. Some companies provide a guarantee for their work. This guarantee can be as long as 20 years.
Prices for full service wedding dress preservation typically costs anywhere from 120 to 350 US dollars. The price depends on many factors. It is more expensive when the dress design is more complicated. Layers and extra volume of the skirt make matters worse, which means higher prices. Also, dresses with a lot of embroidery, beads, cathedral train or antique fabric are more expensive for preservation. Extra fees are also charged if the gown has pads and spills.
