Is it possible to get married for “time and all eternity” outside of a LDS temple or church?
I want to get married or sealed for time and all eternity but am not a member of the LDS church. Is that the only way to be married for time and all eternity, or can anyone do it in any church or wedding ceremony?
Most religious marriages are “til death do us part”. Many Christians are taught that there will not be marriage in the next life. Legal marriages are also only until death.
Even if you find someone who says “sure, I’ll marry you and claim that you’re married for eternity”, does that make it so?
The sealing power comes from God, not from Man. He has bestowed this power to Prophets. They have bestowed it upon select individuals who can actually perform these marriages not just for time, but for eternity.
You should probably go to Mormon.org and invite the missionaries over if this is important to you.

The Meaning of Eternity Rings
Eternity rings are beautiful symbols of love that your sweetheart is sure to cherish for years to come. But what are the true meanings of eternity rings? We’ve researched it, and found out that they can mean lots of different things to different people.
