Ladies advice needed on Engagement Ring?
Ladies:
I met my soulmate, and I want to spoil her like a princess. Is it true that I should spend at least 3 months gross salary on the engagement ring? If so, we’re talking about a $22,000 ring, which is fine with me. Also, she likes Princess Cut with baguettes. Do I concentrate on the size of the rock and not the rest of the ring, or both? Help me out here ladies!
Well, the diamond commercials actually say “Is 2 months salary worth a lifetime” , not 3 months, or something like that. If you can afford it, go for it. But don’t go into debt for a ring. Remember the rest of your lives is what is important. Plus, we like when the guy plans things out, makes things personal. If she has hinted at a certain cut of diamond, then that’s the cut you want to go for. I think an inscription on the inside of the ring would be nice too. Plus, think about the Wedding Band too. What will the engagement ring look good with? If you can afford $22 grand, then go for it, but remember to make it as personal as possible.
